HANNELI RUPERT-KOEGELENBERG

Hanneli Rupert-Koegelenberg, daughter of international business leader, the late Dr. Anton Rupert, and Ms Huberte Rupert, enjoys international acclaim under her maiden name of Hanneli Rupert for her musical career as a mezzo-soprano, Lieder recitalist and distinguished performer of oratorio.

While being a loving mother and wife, Hanneli has also always been dedicated to a “bigger family”. As a trustee of five family foundations, she is actively involved in supporting and furthering fields that are also close to her heart – education, social development, classical music, art, nature conservation, the preservation of historical buildings, as well as changing people’s lives through reconciliation and Christian enrichment.

Hanneli is the owner of internationally-awarded La Motte Wine Estate in the Franschhoek Valley and co-owner of the nearby Leopard’s Leap Family Vineyards. She and her husband Hein Koegelenberg, CEO of both La Motte and Leopard’s Leap, are respected for their efforts toward establishing South Africa as a leading force in the world of wine and tourism. As a team, they are committed to supporting the local community in the fields of job creation, education and personal development.
